We’re back, and this one was even bigger. More than 250 people came through over the course of the day to celebrate Lankan Cricket Fest 2026, and the energy, the cricket, and the sense of togetherness were everything we hoped for.

Just like last year, this was about so much more than cricket. It was a full day of culture, food, music, and community all in one place. Some folks came to play, others came to cheer, catch up with people, and just be part of it all. However you joined in, you helped make the day something special, and we’re so grateful for that.

This year we had 8 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams take the field. One of those men’s sides was our senior cricketers, and watching them play was one of the best parts of the whole day. So much fun.

And the matches were only part of it. Families drifted between the food stalls, kids bounced around in the bounce house and lined up to get their faces painted, the playground stayed busy all day, and everyone enjoyed free ice cream, courtesy of Serendibs. Live music and good company kept the whole place going from morning right through to the evening.

Big cash prizes went out to our Men’s Champion, Men’s Runners Up, Women’s Champion, and our four Men’s MVPs (Series, Semi Final 1, Semi Final 2, and Final). Congratulations to everyone who took one home.
