Sometimes it’s a family going through a hard stretch. Sometimes it’s a student who needs supplies. Sometimes it’s someone who just needs to know people are thinking of them.
No project is too small. What matters is that someone in our community feels a little less alone.
How It Works

Someone shares a need. Anyone can ask for help, or tell us about a family or person who could use it. No long application. No judgment.

We choose the next project. Our team reviews requests and picks what we can do well.

The community shows up. Donors give. Volunteers organize, shop, pack, and deliver. Everyone plays a part.

We share what happened. After every project we post what we did, who helped, and exactly where the money went.

Already Doing Good? Bring It Here.
A lot of us are already helping someone. A collection at work. Supplies for a school back home. A family down the street going through something hard. Some are small. Some are bigger. All of them count.
Bring that project to Kindred Light. What one person can do alone, a community can do better. More hands, more reach, more people who care.
Because we’re a registered nonprofit, every donation is tax deductible and your donors receive a receipt. That’s something most personal fundraisers can’t offer.
We review every request carefully. We verify the need is real and the help is going where it should. That’s how we protect the people we serve and the people who give.
Give the Thing, or Give the Fund
Sometimes the most useful gift is the thing itself.
If a family needs groceries, buy the groceries. If a child needs a uniform, buy the uniform. Giving directly means your gift arrives whole, and you see exactly where it went.
Can’t shop or deliver? Give to the current project fund and our volunteer team will handle it. We’ll show you the receipts either way.
Every Dollar, In the Open
Transparency isn’t a policy for us. It’s the whole point.
After every project we publish what was needed, what was given, what was spent, and what’s left. Supplies donated directly are listed too. If money is left over, it rolls into the next project and we say so.
